Millex® Syringe Filters are ideal for sterilizing 1 mL – 200 mL of cell culture reagents, such as cell culture media, antibiotics, supplements, sera, viruses for infection, and other biological solutions.
RPMI-1640 Media was developed by Moore et. al. at Roswell Park Memorial Institute, hence the acronym RPMI. The formulation is based on the RPMI-1630 series of media utilizing a bicarbonate buffering system and alterations in the amounts of amino acids and vitamins.
The ability to successfully freeze cells and resuscitate them from liquid nitrogen storage is one of the most important aspects of cell culture research. Preventing ice crystal formation in particular is paramount to maintaining cell viability during cryopreservation.

Plates & Membrane-based Cultureware
MultiScreen® Filter Plates are available in a broad selection of stock configurations. Plates with 96- and 384-well capacity are manufactured using a diverse range of housing materials to ensure compatibility with varied media formulations.
Millicell® Membrane-based Plates & Inserts are designed to support cell growth and differentiation of epithelial and endothelial cell lines, including CaCo-2. Optically-suitable organotypic inserts are designed for convenient access and provide sustained viability. The Millicell device is available with a 0.4 µm PCF membrane, along with a variety of PET membrane pore sizes.
