Sales Specialist (Saudi Nationals only)

Department: Sales – Merck

Division: Commercial

Location: KSA, Jeddah

 

Job Summary:

The Sales Specialist is responsible for driving the marketing and sales of Merck’s general portfolio of products and solutions in the western region, establishing and nurturing relationships with new and existing clients, and providing exceptional sales and after-sales
support. This role also involves identifying untapped markets and business opportunities, contributing directly to the company’s growth and market presence. As a key driver of sales growth, the Sales Executive will play a vital role in expanding our customer base and ensuring customer satisfaction, aligning with our commitment to excellence in product delivery and service.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop key government accounts, research and academic institutions, and other customer accounts across the Western Region.
  • Engaging potential customers by promoting and selling Merck’s diverse range of products and solutions.
  • Building strong relationships with new clients, understanding their unique needs, and delivering tailored solutions to meet those needs effectively.
  • Strengthening connections with existing clients by ensuring their satisfaction, addressing concerns, and providing exceptional service.
  • Offering end-to-end support, from initial sales to after-sales assistance, resolving any issues and ensuring a seamless customer experience.
  • Staying informed on market trends and opportunities through regular research and analysis.
  • Consistently achieving or surpassing sales goals, contributing to both personal success and the company’s growth.
  • Ensuring that data on created business opportunities and market intelligence is consistently and accurately updated in the company’s CRM.

Qualifications:

  • A BSc in Biology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Chemistry or Biotechnology.
  • Proven experience in sales, preferably in a similar industry such as lab instrumentation, food/beverage/drug testing, or oil & gas.
  • Strong understanding of sales processes, from prospecting to closing, and after-sales support.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle customer inquiries and concerns effectively.
  • Proficient in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Self-driven and able to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Willingness to travel within the country as required.
  • This position is open to Saudi Nationals only. Fluency in English is required.

Senior Sales Executive

Department: Sales – Material & Analytical

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Senior Sales Executive to join our dynamic team in Oman. This role focuses on promoting and selling a comprehensive range of analytical instruments and laboratory solutions across industries such as pharmaceuticals, oil & gas, food & beverage, environmental, chemical, and research laboratories. The ideal candidate has strong technical knowledge, excellent sales skills, and the ability to build lasting customer relationships while driving business growth.

Job Responsibilities

  • Promote and sell a wide portfolio of advanced analytical instruments and laboratory solutions, including Mass Spectrometry, Spectroscopy, Chromatography, Elemental Analysers, and related equipment.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring high customer satisfaction and timely resolution of concerns.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, preparing detailed sales forecasts and reports.
  • Provide end-to-end customer support, including pre-sales consultations, product demonstrations, technical guidance, and after-sales services.
  • Develop and deliver impactful sales presentations and product demonstrations to prospective customers.
  • Monitor market trends, competitive activities, and potential challenges within Oman.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, forecasts, and customer interactions using the company’s CRM system.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working in Oman is essential.
  • Only candidates currently residing in Oman will be considered.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology, Pharmacy or Engineering.
  • 6 to 8 years of sales experience, ideally within a related industry, with a strong focus on the Food, Pharmaceutical, Oil & gas, environmental, chemical, and research labs.
  • Preferably to have 3 to 5 years of experience in sales of analytical instruments.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A results-driven mindset with a successful track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent negotiation and closing skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with sales software, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness to travel locally and regionally as required.
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license in Oman.

Logistics Officer (Saudi National only)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Saudi National to join our Supply Chain team as a Logistics Officer. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and timely delivery of goods to the customers. This role involves maintaining accurate inventory records, coordinating local deliveries, and overseeing the transportation of goods. The Logistics Officer will work closely with the supply chain team, internal departments, and external partners to ensure smooth logistics operations This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to resolve any issues that may arise in the logistics process.

Job Responsibilities

  • Collaborating closely with other members of the supply chain team to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of goods.
  • Communicating effectively with internal teams and external partners, providing updates on shipment statuses and logistics activities.
  • Maintaining accurate inventory records, tracking the movement of goods to ensure stock levels are managed efficiently.
  • Conducting regular inventory audits and reconciling discrepancies.
  • Arranging local deliveries by self or via third party, including selecting appropriate carriers and negotiating rates to optimize cost and efficiency.
  • Overseeing the transportation of goods, ensuring deliveries are made on time and in good condition.
  • Preparing all necessary shipping documentation, including invoices, delivery notes, and other relevant paperwork.
  • Ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements related to the transportation and delivery of goods.
  • Responding promptly to any issues or disruptions in the logistics process, implementing solutions to minimize impact.
  • Maintaining clear and accurate records of all shipments and logistics activities.

Qualifications:

  • A BSc in Supply Chain, Logistics or Inventory Management is preferred.
  • Proven experience in logistics and supply chain management.

Service Engineer (Saudization)

Job Summary:

A Merck Millipore Service Engineer is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, qualification, and technical support of laboratory water purification systems and related life science equipment. The role ensures maximum system uptime, customer satisfaction, and compliance with manufacturer standards and regulatory requirements.

Job Responsibilities

  • Install and commission Merck Millipore water purification systems at customer sites, ensuring systems are fully operational and meet required specifications.
  • Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance activities to maximize system uptime and performance.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and software-related faults in a timely and effective manner.
  • Perform system qualification, calibration, verification, and performance testing in line with applicable standards.
  • Replace consumables, spare parts, and system components as needed to maintain optimal functionality.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to customers both onsite and remotely.
  • Prepare accurate and thorough service reports, maintenance records, and all relevant documentation.
  • Ensure full compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory requirements at all times.
  • Collaborate with customers, distributors, and internal technical support teams to resolve issues efficiently and maintain strong working relationships.
  • Support warranty claims, system upgrades, and equipment relocation projects as required.

Qualifications:

  • Nationality: Saudi
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Biomedical Engineering.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of post-qualification experience in technical problemsolving.
  • Excellent business communication skills with the ability to tactfully resolve customer complaints.
  • Highly organized, with strong multitasking capabilities and keen attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to manage multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proactive and customer-focused attitude, with a commitment to delivering high-quality service and support.
